Write a fine draft of your final investigative story, following the guidelines below. This assignment is due on Brightspace by next Tuesday at the start of class.
Your fine draft should be in almost-final form. The story should be written from beginning to end. Sentences should be clean.
It should be between 1,000 and 1,500 words. (One single-spaced page is about 500 words.) This word count does not include research citations.
It must include at least 10 research citations. These should be links that I can click on to check your sources. You do not have to write formal footnotes or a bibliography.
You can Slack me your fine draft anytime before midnight Wednesday if you want my feedback on it before you present it in class.
Submit your fine draft on Brightspace by the beginning of class next week. Also have it in front of you during class, as we will discuss how to fact-check/footnote, and we will use your stories to do so.
